Common questions

Can frontline employees use Unily without a corporate email?
Yes. They activate via a QR code self-serve process and are assigned a ConnectID, a secure login tied to their HR record. They sign in to Unily with it. No email required.
Couldn’t we just create Entra ID accounts for frontline workers?
Yes you could, however it can often come with higher licence costs for frontline workers and increased risk through manual credential distribution. Provisioning would still sit with IT, rather than being synced against your HR record. So each manual request, from password resets to leaver access removal, would come through as an IT support ticket.

We already have Microsoft Entra ID, can we keep it?
Yes, your desk-based staff can sign in with Entra ID exactly as they do today, including across multiple tenants. ConnectID covers everyone Entra ID doesn't, with both running through the same access layer with one set of admin controls.
How are Unily accounts provisioned?
Accounts are provisioned automatically. Connect Frontline reads your HR system (or systems) of choice and creates each identity before the first shift. Role and site changes update access on their own, and departures close it down across every connected platform.
How is the Unily integration set up?
We’ll set up your Unily and Connect Frontline integration before you go live. We connect your HR data, configure sign-in and provisioning with your IT team. You can start by testing with a single site, before rolling out across the rest of the organisation.
How long does rollout take?
Getting Connect Frontline set up with your HRIS and Unily can be done in as little as two weeks. Once set up, workers can activate their account via the self-serve QR code process in less than two minutes.
What does IT have to maintain?
Once HR data is connected, very little manual involvement is required.
